Criteria

Members of the Climate Overshoot Commission were chosen based on three criteria:

1 / Eminent

Commissioners’ authority and expertise underlines the urgency of this conversation.

2 / Global

Multiple perspectives are essential to create a strategy that works for people across the planet. Commissioners come from diverse backgrounds, with a majority from the Global South.

3 / Independent

The Commissioners deliberate as individual experts, not representing institutions or corporations.
